-Awarded 176 scholarships for higher
education, and/or youth art education.
-Granted over $402,900 to local arts organizations.
-Hosts MSAC Poetry Competitions & Literary Workshops
-Provides 8 rare films a year with facilitated discussion
-Funded over 124 arts-integration programs in local schools/increased funding for these programs by 70%
-Provides musical instruments to underserved children through the Instrument Barn Program
-Provides or promotes arts programs to marginalized populations of all ages and encumbrance
-Advocates for arts resulting in over a 4 million dollar increase for arts in the MD State Budget
-Produces River City Arts Jam, Galas, Home arts Parties, Let’s Do Lunch Arts, MSCA show, & Spring Fling Fair
-Educates and entertains the public through SWAC TV
show filming local arts events.
-Developed 11 arts endowment funds with an estimated value of $455,436.
-Initiated arts and healing projects in various care facilities.
-Supports downtown revitalization with 3rd Friday , Arts Participation, and Indoor Arts Mall
-Produces international culture arts exchange programs
-Produces quarterly “Accent on the Arts” magazine with a
-3 month arts event calendar.
-SWAC offers Website, Artist Registry to connect with opportunities, Facebook, Mailchimp, and Social Media Arts Promotion.
-SWAC provided The Arts Round Table, spurring downtown development and addressing arts issues.
-SWAC ED is CAAM State President and partners with TADD, MSAC, AFTA, MCA, & regional arts advocacy teams.
-Wicomico ArtScape commercial gallery and exhibits by local artists in County businesses.
-Participates in and helps fund the SU Maryland Summer Center for the Arts Youth Academy.
-Produces “Classics for a Cause” concert to showcase youth talent and teaches event management to youth.
-ARTSPACE program, a gathering place with the arts for groups or Artist Residency
-Produces visual art shows, sales, & Portrait of Phyllis exhibit/sale.
-Happy Hour, SWAC’y Hour With The Arts - open mic, featured artists, bands, fun!
-SWAC’s Spectacular Shows of the Decades: Crystal Gayle, Fabulous Hubcaps, & More to come!
